Hello, my friend! How are you? If you're out of time or "in a rush", go to the last paragraph of this text for a fast answer.
In times of immediate responses and connection 24 hours a day, talking about long-term transformation is a risk! But… we believe you can (and must!) dream big, and make a daily effort to get better every day. This is our mission - seeing you speaking English and being a Leader wherever you go. "The 5 Essential People Skills" was written by Dale Carnegie and its goal is to improve your people skills. In other words, to improve your relationships at work and at home.
You've built rapport and the relationships are much better these days. Nice. Now, how can you gain respect? By dedicating time to improve ourselves and working hard, we gain people's respect. Carnegie expresses that saying "you should maintain a busy schedule. Most successful and influential people are busy, well read, involved in several projects, have many contacts, and are always networking". Are you busy?
I know you're always busy. Let me improve my question. Are you effective? That's something to keep in mind - and a relevant issue to build respect around us. The second step is about being in touch with people. "Make an effort to attend a number of high-profile events and functions. Assert yourself in the direction of socializing within your professional community".
Keep yourself busy, attend events where you can grow and "make an effort to spend time in the company of successful and well-regarded people. The final step is about your workspace. Dale Carnegie says that "having a neat office will actually help you get more done. How do you organize your mornings? Comment here and see you next class!
